I started a Minecraft SMP around 5 years ago and have been maintaining and updating it. Over time it’s gone from being for my IRL friends to my internet friends and at the moment it’s empty. But it still exists and exploring it is pretty nostalgic. I just updated it to 1.21.5 so I may start playing on their again.
The inspiration was Hermitcraft so there is a shopping district at spawn and players have their own bases out in the world. The server has a lot of the same mods they use for performance and creativity such as the voice chat mod, the disc recording mod and wandering trader mini block trades.
Spawn
The spawn area is a shopping district people can sell whatever they like for diamonds keeping the economy going.

This was also my first base the upstairs being the base and the downstairs a shop. There is also some farms beneath the shop.
The gaming boat
This boat was made to play minigames on though I think some have broken with recent updates.

A place where people can mark momentous occasions on the server.

This was my first big build, I left it in favor of something with a better storage system and a different build style after a couple years.

I have automated farms scattered all around this server but this is the biggest industrial compound featuring the following:
- Iron Farm x4
- Shulker Shell Farm
- Mob Farm
- Sugarcane Farm
- Ink Farm
- Bamboo Farm
I could be missing some. But this was made before the crafter was introduces so I have considered redoing the inventory and AFK spot to do some auto crafting.
Nether Hub
I broke bedrock so we could travel above the nether roof and a large hub was setup here complete with directions from another member. She spend a lot of time on this.
End portal
The fortress was carved away to make the end portal accessible from the surface and is linked to the nether hub.
Leaf Spleef Arena
This was a game made in collaboration you try to throw snowballs at others feet to get them to fall before you do.
Copper Town
This is my current base. I made it in newer chunks to get some of the new features it also has an automated storage system for any item and a separate one for bulk items.
